Hi, I’m Dominique ChiquetÂ
An educator specializing in early years physical education (PE).
Our premium PE programs are specifically for the early years (ages 3–7), helping teachers and coaches access the best PE curricula and training (CPD), both live and online. We regularly update our blog and social channels and host a yearly Early Years PE Conference with experts from around the globe.
You’re in the right place if your goal is to be a confident, competent early years PE teacher—always prepared and recognized as an expert.
Like many educators, you know the stress of finding new, engaging ideas every week. You are often forced to choose between wasting hours searching for new, creative games or delivering the same old drills that are neither fun nor optimal for motor skill learning.
You want a proven system, but feel stuck doing all the work yourself.
I used to be that overwhelmed, stressed teacher who spent every spare minute planning lessons. I had success, but was too busy worrying and planning to truly enjoy it. I totally understand your struggle.
For example, throughout my career, I:
- Built a highly successful multisport holiday program that ran for over 15 years each, first in San Francisco, US, then in Basel, Switzerland (with over 500 participants each year).
- Ran a vibrant after-school sports program for seven years, serving 400 participants annually in Baselland, Switzerland.
- Conducted teacher trainings all around the globe, including as a Swiss-Kindersport Expert.
And yet, many of my nights and weekends were spent preparing. I also felt constant frustration seeing traditional early years PE programs fail children by rehearsing the same old boring activities for decades, without injecting new, creative ideas or real value, ultimately wasting teachers' time.
After 27 years in sports and education, it became very clear to me that the key to successful PE wasn't early specialization; it was building a holistic foundation focused on well-rounded motor skill development at a young age, ensuring both fun and optimal learning.Â
Drawing on my experience as a former professional squash player, Swiss Olympic Coach, and Swiss Kindersport expert, I uncovered the four key "building blocks" every high-quality early years PE program must have. Using these principles, I developed The MSL System, our proven framework that ensures children aged 3–7 develop solid motor competence and enjoy doing so. The Motor Skill Learning Academy was born from this struggle and planning stress. Today, I am relaxed, enjoying my time off worry-free, knowing I have built a proven, premium PE system that works.
I have personally worked with over 20,000 children over the past 37 years, presented at the world’s major PE conferences, and mentored hundreds of organizations on how to run successful early years PE programs with far less work and worry, including some of the biggest names in the industry.
I have trained over 3,750 coaches and educators through our Academy, helping them to become confident early years PE teachers whom others look up to. These educators, primarily working for private schools or sports academies, implement our premium curricula/certifications for diverse offerings (in-school PE, after-school programs, and additions to sports-specific academies) and all serve children aged 3–7.
My mission is to end PE preparation stress by providing the world's best, proven early years PE curriculum and teacher training. To be blunt, the vast majority of PE programs are made up of the same boring activities we’ve seen for decades. I try to be the complete opposite, constantly innovating new, creative games for fun and optimal learning.
Our Professional Coach Certifications provide you with a complete, step-by-step blueprint for solving your biggest classroom challenges to run a successful PE program. Our premium programs are built upon 20 years of rigorous testing and 37 years of my daily teaching experience.
