Top Games: Orientation: Mosquito Tag
Game 1: Mosquito tag
- The tagger with a noodle, the mosquito, chases the other children.
- Children who are tagged need to sit down with their legs straight.
- Children still free can release them by jumping over their legs.
Tips
- Children are only allowed to aim at the waist or below.
- You will need a full-length noodle, half a noodle is too small and the noodle needs to be firm or the sting will not be straight and hang down.
Goals
Main goal: Orientation is of key importance like all tag games, having to keep track of the sting, all the other children, and the walls.
In addition: Physical activity, endurance, and speed in particular, as well as reaction, are improved.
Story
- Have the sting be all 3 of these insects, a mosquito, bee, and a wasp, one after the other with children avoiding getting stung.
- This is an easy way to have children stick with it longer instead of doing the same challenge 3 times.
Progressions
- The shorter the sting, the more you increase the challenge to tag children.
- The longer the sting, the more you increase the challenge to dodge the sting.
